# Mac desktop

> The Orbit Mac desktop app is the primary surface — one-click LinkedIn import, Connect Messages, Autopilot Screen, Map, Pro billing, and deep search.

# Mac desktop

The Mac app is the **primary** Orbit. It wraps the live product in a native shell with desktop-only powers.

## Why Mac first

## Install

1. Go to [orbitmy.co/download](https://orbitmy.co/download)
2. Install the Orbit `.dmg` and open the app
3. Sign in — same account as web and iPhone

Updates download in the background when you reopen the app. When a build is ready, an **Update** button appears in the top nav — one click installs and restarts.

## First hour on Mac

2. Run a [Search](/guides/search) you care about
3. If you are Pro, enable [Autopilot](/guides/autopilot) Meetings & email
